Job Description

  • Oversee the interpretation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead the recruitment process, including interviewing and selecting qualified candidates, as well as conducting comprehensive new employee orientations.
  • Manage the Employee Benefits program at the plant level.
  • Administer FMLA/Leave, Safety, and Worker's Compensation programs.
  • Conduct essential HR/Legal Compliance training for all employees.
  • Supervise all personnel activities, maintaining files and updates related to personnel changes, employee updates, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Union and Management to address and resolve grievances.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field; or equivalent experience in a previous HR role. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to self-direct activities, multitask, and thrive under pressure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or specialized training in employment law, employee relations, safety, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
  • Exhibit professionalism, interpersonal skills, and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft software.
  • Excellent communication skills, encompassing verbal, listening, written, and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Bilingual Spanish ability strongly recommended and preferred, especially for regular interactions with monolingual employees.
  • Willingness to work weekends and occasional second shift meetings, especially during peak production times.
