Our client is a manufacturer of chemistry-based products used in food, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products. They are expanding their production and looking for a Senior Project Engineer/Manager to add to their flagship facility near Sioux City. This position has room for promotion!

The ideal candidates are technically proficient, effective problem solvers, and are hands on with their work. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple projects in different stages at once.

As a Senior Project Engineer, job responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage multiple capital projects at once from conception through implementation
  • Work with other departments to identify and execute improvement projects
  • Adhere to safety policies and standards locally, federally, and company wide
  • Prepare and manage all relevant project documentation, estimates, services, suppliers, schedules, etc.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and under budget

Salary Range: $125,000/year - $135,000/year plus 10% bonus

Job Requirements

As a Senior Project Engineer, job requirements consist of:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in a food manufacturing facility, pharmaceuticals, or possibly chemical manufacturing 
  • Experience managing capital projects from start to finish 
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
