EHS Specialist/Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist/Chemical Engineer/Chemical Manufacturing/Chemicals/EHS/EHS Manager/Safety Manager/Engineering/Industrial Safety/Natural Sciences

Our client is a specialty chemical manufacturer of consumer goods products. They are in search of an EHS Specialist with a focus on site safety to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and industry regulations/standards.

As the EHS Specialist job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Site safety training and coaching of employees on safe work behaviors
  • Collaborate with other departments on process improvements for site safety
  • Manage compliance of regulatory programs and safety procedures
  • Manage site’s PSM program
  • Drive safety risk assessment and develop/implement appropriate controls
  • Lead and facilitate process hazard analysis

Job Requirements

As an EHS Specialist job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, or Natural Sciences
  • 3-5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing setting, chemicals preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and policies
  • Previous experience working in a PSM regulated facility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
