  • Lead and/or participate, as needed, in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) for new and existing processes.
  • Inform and update site leadership regarding existing or potential issues and regulatory requirements impacting EHS performance.
  • Support operations to create a culture of functional excellence, accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values and standards.
  • Interact professionally with production personnel and other departments, including Production, Commercial, Customer Service, Shipping, Receiving, Supply Chain, Laboratory, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Be available after hours for plant assistance by phone or in the plant.

  • Liaise with company’s Technology Development Team, overseeing the development of new components (as necessary) and other joint research activities. Provide technical leadership to help team members arrive at the best solution for the business.  Ensure effective use of company’s Product Development Process (APDP).  Develop new analytical and test methods to characterize products and enable manufacturing capability (as necessary).
  • Can translate internal and external (customer) marketing plans into actionable and efficient NPD and research plans.
  • Oversee and ensure development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive safety program in assigned area. Areas of accountability include documentation of safety activities, monthly safety meetings, interactive safety inspections, group safety observation programs, safety training, JSA development, active reporting and corrective action programs.
  • Ensure complete ISO documentation is maintained on all ISO or Quality related activities. Participate in ISO / Quality related activities and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the ISO / Quality function.

Overview

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical sourcing activities for electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components, systems, and assemblies for assigned projects.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on technical capability, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to ensure supplier compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business
  • 3–10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or  engineering within a manufacturing or engineering-focused industry.
  • Strong technical background in electrical and/or mechanical systems, ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and value engineering.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, sourcing tools, 
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead procurement activities for ~$30M annual spend across raw materials and packaging supporting multiple manufacturing sites
