Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs, including material, labor, and overhead

  • Oversee inventory valuation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

  • Analyze cost variances and provide explanations and actionable insights to management

  • Lead month-end and year-end cost accounting close processes

  • Prepare and review cost-related journal entries, reconciliations, and reports

  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and margin performance

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning related to manufacturing or operational costs

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls

  • Manage and mentor cost accounting staff

  • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations related to cost accounting

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements

Job Requirements

Requirements: 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred

  • 7+ years of Cost Accounting Experience Required 
  • Prior management or supervisory experience

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing or operational cost structures

  • Experience with ERP systems(SAP)

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • 5-15% Travel Required
