Analytical Chemist

Innovative company focused on exciting green technology is seeking a Senior Chemist for their analytical laboratory.  Prior ICP experience is very valuable in this role.  Opportunity to contribute to the growth of the company and lab!

Duties:

  • Perform chemical analysis using inductively coupled plasma (ICP-OES)
  • Should be comfortable in developing methods for ICP-OES
  • Perform sample preparation by various techniques
  • Perform regular maintenance of ICP and schedule preventative maintenance
  • Keep inventory of the lab supplies including but not limited to: Acids, ICP standards, pipette tips, Argon, etc.
  • Willing to work independently and with a team
  • Should be able to multitask and prioritize work assignments
  • Must have basic math skills related to analytical chemistry
  • Proficiency with Excel or similar software
  • Perform data review, validation, and approval of analytical data
  • Preferably some experience with E-waste and Process development
  • Must be willing to contribute to other areas of the facility

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Metallurgy)
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with inductively coupled plasma (ICP-OES) preferably Agilent 5800
  • Thorough understanding of various digestion techniques
  • Strong knowledge of inorganic chemistry
