Job Description
My client, a growth progressive, global chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Category Manager to oversee the global spend of Marketing, Media, Communications.
Category Manager – Reporting to a Procurement Lead, this position will be responsible for driving strategy and oversight of global procurement focusing on Media, Marketing and Communications services. This is a highly recognizable, critical role ensuring the company is acquiring the highest quality services for B2B and B2C marketing, media, advertising and communications.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Media, Marketing and Communications services
- Build strong relationships cross functionally to understand their needs and align strategies
- Implement risk management strategies
- Promote sustainable sourcing practices
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a Global Strategic Sourcing role with a focus on Marketing Services with both B2B and B2C
- Experience with risk management strategies
- Strong negotiation and contact experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues
