Chemical Sales Territory Manager
Do you have experience in sanitation chemical sales? This successful company in business for over 100 years is looking for an enthusiastic individual to work with clients in the food and beverage processing industry. This role is home-based with 70% travel within assigned territory.
Duties:
- Responsible for coordinating the implementation of a company’s strategic sales and marketing plans in the assigned territory. Ideal candidate will reside in Eastern Iowa, Northern Illinois, or Southwest Wisconsin. This position is a true extension of the corporate management team and the board of directors
- Oversee the protected geographic territory (a high value corporate asset), given upon employment with the company
- Provide sales growth, maintenance, technical service, and territory management of all sanitation account activity in the protected territory. Management will work with this position to determine a reasonable range of minimum – maximum sales for each unique territory based on its potential
- Technically service all accounts in the territory at a high quality and professional level. The amount of service will be based roughly on the size of the account (annual sales), stage or status of account development (i.e., start-up, on-going maintenance, or problem-solving status)
- Technical support and equipment department staff will be available to help for training, start-ups, and problem solving
- Manage, on a timely basis, all territory activity including scheduling of sales, technical, and equipment support; product ordering and inventory maintenance; service, sales activity, and expense report generation. Sales support from all company departments will be available to ensure territory success
- Develop territory business plans that will grow the business
- Develop and maintaining customer relationships
- Develop sales and business development strategies
- Monitor and analyze trends to identify new opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities
- Prepare and present reports to the sales team and leadership
- Recommend improvements to sales processes and strategies
- Actively prospect, build, and maintain the sales base
- Additional duties as assigned by the Sanitation National Sales Manager who will have the responsibility to support and facilitate this position’s activity at all stages of growth

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or experience preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or customer service preferred
- Required to have experience in the Food Science, Dairy Manufacturing, & Processing and/or Food & Beverage industries
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and time management skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while in a fast-paced environment
