Chemist II

Mid-sized specialty chemical company is looking for a Chemist experienced in organic synthesis to run reactions, do analytical work, and scale up to kg level.  If you have a BS or MS in Chemistry and experience running lab scale chemical reactors, this could be a great opportunity for you!  Company offers excellent benefits with competitive pay; great opportunities for growth!

Duties:

  • Conduct experiments and syntheses of organic and organometallic compounds
  • Develop accurate and detailed observations leading to informative data and innovative ideas
  • Perform multi-step procedures from 100mL to 12 L scale
  • Acquire and interpret analytical data from NMR, GC, HPLC, and wet chemistry methods
  • Summarize results, write technical reports and procedures, and present information to the technical team
  • Work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
  • Reinforce safe work practices

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • A BS or MS in chemistry with experience in organic/organometallic synthesis
  • 2+ years of industry experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with process/scale-up work in a manufacturing environment required
