Corporate Principal Project Engineer
Job Description
Our client is a privately owned company in the chemical manufacturing industry. Why does privately owned matter? This is a chance to shine. It's also not a place you can hide. This is a corporate role that will provide support to the US manufacturing facilities. Opportunities for growth can take you where you want, whether that remains in corporate or into plant leadership. This role offers a hybrid option, including 3 days in the office and up to 2 days working from home. Travel is a part of this job, as much as 30%, depending on project stage.
Capital project management/project engineering/chemical manufacturing/PSM/Chemicals/
As the Corporate Principal Project Engineer, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process Design – front end project scoping, justification, P&ID development, PFDs
- Project Management – manage vendors and contractors, budgets, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- PSM – PHAs, Process Safety Information, PSSRs
- Maintenance and reliability, CMS
- Provide leadership and mentoring to other engineers
- Develop and implement engineering standards
- Serve as an internal consultant to plant personnel
- Manage capital projects in the $1M - $10M range typically, though this might include expansions up to $50M
Salary Range: $134,000 - $190,000

Job Requirements
BS Chemical Engineering - no other engineering discipline will be considered
15+ years of chemical manufacturing experience, ideally 20+ years
Experience managing capital projects
Experience with PSM regulations
Experience with maintenance and reliability
Leadership experience
Experience in a matrix organization is preferred
