Our client is a chemical manufacturer of a wide range of chemical-based products used in multiple different markets. They are in search of a new Director of Operations due to promotion. The Director of Operations will provide leadership to operation, maintenance, and engineering groups at this Michigan facility, roughly 45-minutes from Toledo, OH. 

As the Director of Operations responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist in the development of company strategies
• Ensure operations and manufacturing goals are met
• Continuously improve processes and methods to optimize results
• Create policies, procedures, and programs as needed
• Review data analysis to create solutions and improvements
• Head special projects as needed

Salary Range: $180,000/year - $190,000/year plus 25% yearly bonus

As the Director of Operations job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Chemical industry experience is mandatory - no other industries will be considered
• BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant Science degree
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing – must have some batch specialty chemical plant experience
• Must have manufacturing leadership/supervision experience
• Previous experience in a PSM-regulated facility
• Experience leading and developing operation improvements and projects
