EHS Coordinator

Our client is expanding both in their EHS team and manufacturing and this is an exciting time to join! Our client is looking for a candidate with a health and safety manufacturing background that is a self-starter and can drive the safety programs. Our client operates Monday through Friday on a day-shift schedule. The base salary is targeted for $65,000 per year, with additional quarterly bonuses and health insurance is fully covered by the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as company Champion for Safety, Health and Environmental affairs
- Maintain company EHS program through development and delivery of comprehensive methods, policies, work instructions, training and audits designed for employee safety and compliance with standards
- Identify areas of risk, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate the effectiveness of efforts and initiatives, and develop and implement changes for continuous improvement as required
- Maintain detailed records, collect, analyze, summarize data and generate required reporting to internal and external parties
- Identify areas of non-conformance, lead root-case analysis investigation and deliver corrective action plans
- Leader of participating Safety Team members and Safety Team objectives
- Develop and maintain positive interdepartmental working relationships and facilitate employee-led behavior-based safety process in a team based environment

Salary
$55,000 - $65,000
Job Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and other State or Federal program requirements
- Experience with LEAN and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work supervised and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters or instructions given
- 2 years of work experience in EHS program management, chemical manufacturing environment is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field preferred
