Retirement Plan Documents Specialist

We’re partnering with a well-established Third-Party Administrator (TPA) that is looking to add an experienced Retirement Plan Documents Specialist to their growing team. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting a collaborative, technical group focused on delivering high-quality plan document services and compliance expertise.

What You’ll Do

  • Draft, restate, and amend qualified retirement plan documents (401(k), Profit Sharing, Cash Balance, and Combo plans)
  • Interpret plan provisions and ensure documents align with plan operations and compliance requirements
  • Manage plan conversions, takeovers, and regulatory updates
  • Prepare adoption agreements, amendments, SPDs, and related compliance materials
  • Consult with internal administrators and clients on plan design strategies and document questions
  • Research IRS/DOL regulations and apply technical guidance accurately
  • Maintain document libraries and ensure timely completion of restatements and required updates
  • Support special projects related to compliance and regulatory changes

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of retirement plan document or compliance experience within a TPA or retirement services environment
  • Strong knowledge of qualified plan rules and regulations
  • Experience drafting or maintaining plan documents and amendments
  • ASC experience preferred (other industry software welcomed)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and technical skills
  • Comfortable managing deadlines independently in a remote setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to plan design consulting
  • QKA, QKC, or other ASPPA credentials (or working toward)
