Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our team. The Account Executive will be responsible for managing a portfolio of employee benefits accounts, advising clients on benefit plan design and strategy, and delivering exceptional service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned employee benefits clients, building strong relationships and providing strategic guidance on benefit plan design, compliance, and administration.

  1. Conduct thorough analyses of clients' benefit needs and objectives, and develop customized employee benefits solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  2. Collaborate with clients to design, implement, and manage group health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other employee benefits programs.
  3. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in employee benefits to provide clients with timely and relevant advice and recommendations.
  4. Negotiate with insurance carriers and benefit providers to obtain competitive quotes, analyze proposals, and recommend appropriate coverage options to clients.
  5. Conduct employee benefits presentations and enrollment meetings for clients' employees, providing education and support to help them make informed benefit decisions.
  6. Monitor and analyze client data, claims experience, and utilization patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings, program enhancements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  7. Assist clients with benefits compliance, including ACA reporting, ERISA requirements, COBRA administration, and other regulatory obligations.
  8. Coordinate with internal teams, including account managers, benefits specialists, and support staff, to ensure seamless delivery of employee benefits services and solutions.
  9. Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and correspondence in agency management systems.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in employee benefits consulting, brokerage, or account management.
  3. Strong knowledge of employee benefits products, including group health insurance, voluntary benefits, retirement plans, and compliance requirements.
  4. Possess or working towards industry designations such as CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP preferred.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  7. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficiency in benefits administration systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software applications.
  9. Current insurance license required.
  10. Commitment to delivering exceptional service and building lasting client relationships.
