Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of employee benefits accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and support.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the main point of contact for assigned employee benefits clients, building strong relationships and providing ongoing support to meet their needs and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with clients to understand their employee benefits goals, challenges, and priorities, and develop customized solutions to address their specific requirements.
  3. Coordinate with insurance carriers, benefit providers, and vendors to obtain quotes, proposals, and plan information, and present options to clients for review and decision-making.
  4. Assist clients with benefits plan design, implementation, and administration, including enrollment, eligibility management, and employee communications.
  5. Conduct regular client meetings and check-ins to review plan performance, discuss renewal strategies, and address any questions or concerns.
  6. Monitor and analyze client data, claims experience, and utilization patterns to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving measures.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in employee benefits to provide clients with timely and relevant guidance and recommendations.
  8. Coordinate with internal teams, including account executives, benefits specialists, and support staff, to ensure seamless delivery of employee benefits services and solutions.
  9. Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and correspondence in agency management systems, and update client information as needed.
  10. Resolve client inquiries, issues, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner, and escalate complex matters as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee benefits account management, consulting, or related role.
  3. Strong knowledge of employee benefits products, including group health insurance, voluntary benefits, retirement plans, and compliance requirements.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  6. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in benefits administration systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software applications.
  8. Current insurance license required.
  9. Commitment to delivering exceptional service and building lasting client relationships.
  10. Professional certifications such as CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP a plus.
