As a Life Insurance Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring life insurance policies' smooth and efficient processing. You will manage cases from application submission to policy issuance, maintain clear communication with clients and carriers, and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the underwriting process.
- Case Management: Handle and oversee all aspects of life insurance cases, from application submission through policy issuance. Ensure timely and accurate processing of applications.
- New Business/Application processing: Prepare and review applications and illustrations for completeness, identifying and collecting outstanding requirements, and managing the process through policy issues.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular contact with clients to provide updates on the status of their applications, answer questions, and request additional information.
- Underwriting: Order/coordinate insurance exams, order medical records, and complete any required follow-ups with APS provider.
- Carrier Relations: Collaborate with insurance carriers to facilitate the underwriting process. Coordinate the collection of medical records, exams, and other underwriting requirements.
- Policy Review: Verify the accuracy and completeness of application information, medical records, and financial documents. Address discrepancies and work with clients to resolve any issues.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and address any obstacles or delays in the underwriting process. Implement solutions to ensure cases progress smoothly and efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all case documentation and processes comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Data Management: Maintain detailed case status records, client interactions, and underwriting progress in the company's CRM system.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with insurance agents and underwriters to streamline the case management process and ensure clients receive a seamless experience.
