Packaging Procurement Manager
Location:  Woburn, MA (Hybrid: Mon–Thu in office, Fri remote)

Overview:
My client, a global food manufacturing company is seeking a Packaging Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategies and manage packaging procurement across manufacturing sites and co-manufacturers. The role focuses on cost optimization, vendor management, sustainability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze market trends, material costs, and packaging spend
  • Develop sourcing strategies and track key performance metrics (KPIs, PPV/IPV)
  • Qualify and manage suppliers, lead negotiations, and oversee contracts
  • Support budgeting and drive packaging sustainability initiatives
  • Partner with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
  • Lead cost-saving and efficiency improvement projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Packaging, Engineering, Business, or Economics (MBA preferred)
  • 3+ years in strategic sourcing (CPG, food, or related industries preferred)
  • Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills
  • Experience in procurement practices, vendor relations, and contract law
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
