Job Description
PSM Engineer/Chemical Engineer/Process Engineer/Production Engineer/Chemicals
Our client is a chemical manufacturer in the Chicago area. They are looking for a Process Safety Engineer.
As a Process Safety Engineer, job responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for oversight of the site PSM programs and initiatives
- Evaluate Process Safety incidents and provide corrective measures as needed
- Support compliance of all company, local, and state process safety regulations
- Lead Process Hazard Analyses as needed
- Be the site PSM expert and help implement PSM initiatives and advise engineering departments accordingly
- Create, implement, and maintain all Process Safety Knowledge, Management and Audit Programs/Systems

Job Requirements
As a Process Safety Engineer, job requirements consist of:
- BS in Engineering, ChemE is strongly preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a Process/Production Engineer in chemical manufacturing plant
- Must have experience in a PSM regulated facility
- Experience with all 14 elements of PSM a plus
