Job Description

Production Lead – Scheduler

The duties and responsibilities of the Production Lead – Scheduler will include:

  • Working with cross-functional team members in Quality and R&D, coordinate with team members to schedule the production team – daily, weekly, monthly
  • Create long term and short-term production schedules and determine where team members excel and report on opportunities for improvement
  • Communicate information about status updates or production changes and make reports based on the flow and priorities of the project
  • Manages multiple simultaneous production schedules
  • Ensures production teams meet critical deadlines
  • Optimize production workflow where needed
  • Review production floor to find areas of improvement
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Collaborates with Quality and R&D Manager to investigate cases of problems, helps develop solutions for production issues and implementing solutions
  • Support Food Safety Team, Crisis Team, Trace Team, and Recall Team

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in production capacity managing scheduling duties
  • Ability to work in manufacturing facility both in office and walking the floor
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Non-degree will not be considered.  Preferable degree in the sciences, but open to other bachelor’s degree types and commensurate with experience
  • Organizational skills, come with examples. Good at multi-tasking
  • Problem solving and critical thinking competencies
