Job Description
Production Manager – 3rd Shift
Having a visible presence to production staff while engaging at high levels with leadership.
A production manager with a ‘boots on the ground’ mentality able to juggle walking the floor as well as managing desk / corporate responsibilities. Daily objectives include production oversight, inventory accuracy, sanitation maintenance, assist EHS manager on safety, schedule employees, provide leadership to other departments when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Drive cultural change and continuous improvement over production leading by example
- Develop manufacturing programs toward budgeted cost and output objectives
- Develop strategies to meet long-term growth and short-term manufacturing costs
- Coordinate activities of all manufacturing areas working toward plant goals
- Develop SOPs for all production processes
- Develop and implement performance standards for all supervisors maintaining current job descriptions and improvement plans
- Establish quality specifications for incoming raw materials and monitoring to ensure that specifications are met
- Establish procedures and supervise test runs and reporting results
- Manage inventory of off-spec materials, including the scheduling and reworking of products as needed
- Coach, lead and supervise production personnel constantly raising the standard of performance
- Remain current on matters relating to current and new production methods, formulations, and federal regulations as they relate to the Company’s products

Job Requirements
Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred
- 4-10 years previous supervisory / management experience in a food grade operation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of plant operation procedures and business system software applications
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
