Quality Control Manager, Food

The Quality Control Manager, Food will have the following responsibilities:

*Identify and correct any defects in products made prior to release to customers

*Understanding tools and equipment used and calibration to ensure standards are adhered to

*Validation testing and process control for defects monitoring and defects eradication

*Implementing quality metrics for production process from raw materials to commercialization

*Works in conjunction with the Plant Manager(s) and manages the Quality Control department that oversees other company facilities in the U.S. And Mexico

*Manage Certificate of Analysis', reviewing test results, product dispositioning, reclassification and grading of products

*Customer requirement review (CRR) approvals

*Coordinate with QA to enforce quality systems

*Training and objective setting for QC technicians

*Enforces safe work environment to prevent accidents and eliminate unsafe conditions

*Lead customer complaint resolution onsite at plant

*Oversee the inspection, all sampling and approval of raw materials to finished products

*There will be 30% travel to other facilities

Requirements:

*BS Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related preferred

*7-10 years in quality control in a food manufacturing environment

*Leadership of a quality team

*Knowledge of FDA regulations for ingredients

*ISO quality standards and good manufacturing practices (GMP's)

*Prior development and enforcement of quality systems

*Good understanding of the science behind production and quality control

Hands on in a manufacturing environment while balancing corporate quality initiatives in an office environment

*Cross-functional communication with Marketing, Sales, Production, R& D, and Technical Services

*Understands troubleshooting on quality production lines and implementing corrective action plan

*Working knowledge of ICP

*Must be able to travel up to 30%
