Job Description

R&D Technologist

The Food Technologist performs both research development and quality assurance functions working on hydration delivery systems.

  • Perform product quality testing, including recording and analyzing results.
  • Audit manufacturing process, verify process paperwork and identify process improvements.
  • Support product and process improvements, manufacturing commercialization, technical specifications and resolving quality problems.
  • Perform administrative duties, including entering and analyzing data, developing instructions, maintaining specifications, managing product controls, and updating process documents.
  • This is a team of two with great autonomy to run with R&D projects, occasional interaction working with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.

$50,000 - $52,000

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in food science or science related degree
  • 1-3 years in human or pet food industry
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in laboratory setting for food industry
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills
  • Self-directed, detail oriented, capable of managing multiple projects
