This territory is full of sales potential working with manufacturers.  We are looking for a creative, hard-working individual who is looking to gain experience selling a comprehensive solution to multiple stakeholders.  The position is expected to grow and retain company market share and customer base in the assigned area of responsibility.  The Sales Professional is expected to demonstrate an ability to communicate and influence at all levels; be technically competent and independently able to manage demonstrations and technical problem-solving; focus on growth, optimize price and profitability; be accountable for delivering results.  Must be a team player.

Job Description:

The Sales Professional manages a territory that includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivering annual business results, aligned with business plan, sales, CM and volume
  • Growth – focuses effort on delivering growth and maintains existing business
  • Negotiates pricing and margin (aligned with the business) using value selling
  • Drive customer intimacy by delivering company value proposition tailored to meet the needs of the customer
  • Promote, quantify and expertly sell value, which differentiates company in the market and adds value to our customers
  • Consistently deliver value to our customers to realize customer loyalty and minimize erosion
  • Provide insight to the customer through expert application knowledge in the respective industry. Anticipate current and future needs of the customer through deep understanding of the customer’s business
  • Promote and sell products and technology thereby enhancing our passion in the market as an innovative leader
  • Consistently manage activities to ensure all safety requirements are followed
  • Independently technically support the customer for standard needs, including running a product demonstration and line audits
  • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities and communicate forecasting needs to the business
  • Intimately know the territory/industry, including developing new business pipeline
  • Manage time by balancing effort between existing business and new business pipeline
  • Travels frequently to support customers – must be efficient with time and travel with purpose
  • Provide timely communication, phone, email, etc.
  • Understands competitive landscape and how to position company for advantage
  • Provide voice of the customer feedback into the organization
  • Creates advantage through deep understanding of customer needs and accelerates sales process by selecting the right opportunities
  • Has a broad understanding of markets and industry, and frequently weaves knowledge into conversations with customers

Salary

$85,000 - $120,000 base plus bonuses

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Technical Service and/or Sales of Adhesives. Hot Melt, PU, Waterbased, Tape and Label, etc.
  • Small company environment, hands on, you have a voice, and are expected to give advice on how to use the product, help troubleshoot with the customer, and give feedback based on the voice of the customer to the R&D teams
  • Must be able to influence, close sales, and follow through
