Retirement Plan Participant Consultant
 
Compensation: $65,000 - $100,000 and bonus eligible 
 
Location: Madison, WI (position can be fully remote but hybrid is preferred)
 
This role deals with the financial education of the employees of retirement plan clients throughout the regional area. It also assists in providing options for their 401(k), 403(b) and other retirement plans. This person will educate participants of the plan and help employees with their retirement plan goals.  You will be responsible for creating relationships and opportunities for referrals to our wealth management team of advisors. This will be done through group and individual financial education meetings.  The goal is to increase employee participation, increase employee deferrals elections and providing investment education.

This is a full-time role offering the flexibility of a remote schedule. This person should be comfortable with speaking to individuals and groups Travel may consist of 15-20%.
Responsibilities:
  • Speak with clients on a one on one or group basis to educate them on their retirement plan
  • Provide financial education meetings in person and virtually
  • Serve as contact and lead financial education for plan participants
  • Actively interact with clients and their employees to ensure delivery of service expectations
  • Prepare for meetings in advance and ensure follow-up and execution of deliverables following the meetings
  • Consult with the internal ERISA teams to ensure proper compliance regarding all client matters
  • Provide prompt correspondence and ensure questions or issues are resolved in an accurate and timely manner
     
Knowledge:
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Managing and building client relationships
  • Retirement plan knowledge preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to make sound independent decisions
  • Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people/personalities
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner
  • Strong attention to detail, decision-making skills and problem resolution
     
Education and/or Experience:
  • College degree or related experience is preferred
  • Bilingual - Spanish language fluency is preferred
