Sales Director

Mid-sized specialty chemical company is looking for an experienced Sales Manager out of the chemical industry with strong leadership skills, experience building a team and establishing a company culture.  This could be a great opportunity to drive organizational change and build a high-level sales team.  Company offers excellent benefits with competitive pay, great opportunities for growth!

Reporting to the Vice President of the company’s Commercial Organization, the Sales Director will:

• Set vision aligned with business objectives for the company in North American (NA) to include the Permanganates, Catalyst and Phosphates product lines
• Shape & drive the strategy for the commercial pipeline and key relationship management with stakeholders at strategic accounts
• Understand current and potential customer priorities & needs and develop business solutions to drive sales
• Lead, develop and mentor new and existing team members of varying levels of experience, providing actionable coaching to enable growth of team
• Develop strong, collaborative working relationship with internal and external stakeholders across the organization to remove barriers for the team
• Attract top talent and fosters collaboration in a high performing professional organization and culture

Technical Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, or relevant technical field (i.e. chemistry) required, MBA degree is a plus
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within specialty chemical industry
• Experience in transformational sales management, value selling methodology and exposure to “C” level selling situations
• Financial proficiency at the P&L level
