Sales Support Associate

The position will be in their Spices and Vegetables Ingredient Sales Office.  Will acquire a solid understanding of their sales, product line and manufacturing through projects and business interaction.  This foundation will enable this team member to effectively support customer accounts by acquiring a working knowledge of their products, innovation process and supply chain.

*The Sales Support Associate will be a member of an exciting sales team supporting food manufacturers, food ingredient, and food service accounts internationally.  Successful candidates will be skilled at developing and maintaining relationships within the organization.  In addition, candidates will engage with the internal sales and marketing team, product line, innovation, customer service, IT project manager and supply chain teams to achieve sales objectives.

*Support sales team to achieve established volume and financial goals and new business objectives

*Contribute to the growth of the overall Spices and Vegetables business

*Market intelligence management

*Support sales team on day to day maintenance for accounts, including sample requests, technical document requests, project tracking, contract management and sales reports

*Learn necessary systems to execute support including SAP, Outlook, Excel, BI, Tableau, PPT

*Lead company business from all angles (R&D, QA/QC, Operations) to support sales processes

*Engage with Global Business Services and Customer Service Teams to guarantee timely execution of requests

*Engage the company network (e.G., cross-functional team members/critical resources) to execute business plans, resolve issues, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer needs and drive profitable growth




*Minimum of BA/BS degree in Food Science, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or related field

*Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Must show ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationships across functional groups

*Flexible self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects and internal and external demands

*Problem solver with well-developed organizational and time management skills

*High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications:  PowerPoint, Excel, Word

*Resilience and the ability to cope with complex situations

*Able to work both independently and as part of a team

*Inclination for analysis and intellectual curiosity

*Proven problem solving skills

*Strong project development and management skills

*Fluency in foreign language a plus
