Job Description

Sanitation Supervisor

The duties and responsibilities of the Sanitation Supervisor will include:

  • Manages plant personnel
  • Responsible for following and upholding all safety policies and procedures established for the facility
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Prioritizes food quality and maintains food safety, through the vigilant application of company SSOPs, GMPs and the master sanitation schedule
  • Understands chemical usage, chemical titration, and chemical safety
  • Understands goals, yields, variances and calculations
  • Third Shift Position 6PM – 6AM (2*2*3 Schedule)

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Understands basic bacteriology
  • Knowledge of food compliance regulations in conjunction with USDA regulations
  • Knowledge of chemical safety
  • Understands ordering of supplies based on future needs
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to yields, productivity and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Basic computer skills, Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work Third Shift 6PM – 6AM (2*2*3 Schedule)
