Senior Account Manager – Heat Treatment
Are you a materials science or metallurgical engineering professional with a passion for quenching processes? We’re looking for a skilled individual to sell, manage, and optimize quench oils in our metallurgical operations. You’ll receive hands-on training from a retiring expert, with the opportunity to take on full responsibilities within a year.
Duties:
The Quench Oil Specialist will play a crucial role in understanding and managing quenching processes within our metallurgical operations. This position involves close collaboration with a retiring expert during a comprehensive training period, with the expectation to operate independently after approximately one year.
Quench Oil Management:
- Understand and evaluate the properties and performance of various quench oils
- Select appropriate quench oils based on specific metallurgical requirements and processes
Process Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize quenching processes to enhance product quality and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to quenching and heat treatment
Training and Development:
- Collaborate closely with the retiring expert to gain hands-on experience and knowledge
- Document processes and findings to create a reference guide for future use
Technical Analysis:
- Conduct metallurgical analyses to assess the effects of quenching on material properties
- Perform tests and experiments to evaluate the performance of different quench oils
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to the handling and application of quench oils
- Promote a culture of safety within the team and participate in safety training sessions

Salary
$88,000 - $110,000
Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Strong technical background in metallurgy or materials science
- Experience selling quench oils is a must
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
