Senior Accountant
Job Description
What you’ll do:

Voucher and validate metal receipts and resolve any potential issues.

Coordinate with plants and metal vendors to resolve incorrect Advance Shipping Notification transitions.

Communicate and resolve any payment discrepancies with Procurement and metal vendors.

Prepare metal price variance analysis for customer pass-through and present to Sourcing & Pricing.

Prepare monthly journal entries, including but not limited to price adjustments, rebates, tariffs, metal route, and monthly true up, and perform account reconciliations.

Process all mill/vendor claims, manage the collection process, and prepare the monthly reporting deck for executives.

Ensure timely and accurate accounting for metal and freight-related activities throughout the month-end close cycle, such as metal price variance breakdown, freight processing, vouchering of metal receipts including outside processors, and processing of mill and other vendor claims.

Job Requirements
What you need to have:

BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or related.

5 or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or business.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel skills and intermediate proficiency in all other MS Office products.

Be in the office five days a week.
-
Solid organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing abilities.

High level of professionalism and effective communication skills.

$76,600 to $97,700 per year. Salary will depend on several factors, such as years of experience, education, unique skills, performance, labor market conditions, and location.
