Senior Chemist – CASE Formulations

Mid-sized specialty chemical company is looking for an experienced Formulation Chemist to lead projects in R&D for CASE applications.  If you have expertise in polyurethane coatings and/or adhesives formulation and are interested in a position where you can present your work at trade shows, this could be a great opportunity for you!  Company offers excellent benefits with competitive pay; great opportunities for growth!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Candidate will develop innovative solutions to solve challenging problems in applications and technical support of polyurethanes
• Candidate will perform formulation work, sample preparation and performance testing, supported by analytical and synthesis teams
• Position will have project management responsibilities, reporting to Lab Manager
• Candidate will follow all safety, ISO and other Quality initiatives or requirements
• Candidate may occasionally travel with business and other technical representative when visiting customers

Technical Qualifications:

• BS, MS, or PhD in chemistry or related and 4+ years’ industry experience within a polyurethane formulations role
• Experience in the following areas: Urethane chemistry/formulation and applications testing, in-depth understanding of polymer catalysis, and other polyurethane reaction mechanisms
