Our client is a leading food manufacturer. They are currently seeking a Senior Food Engineer to be a technical lead. They are looking for a self-starter that loves science and technology. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer who loves to learn and is able to embrace their curious side!
As a Senior Food Engineer job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design and develop scale manufacturing options
- Run trials and experiments (DOE) to evaluate and identify best equipment for products
- Work cross-functionally to develop prototypes and projects from concept to completion
- Identify, qualify, and manage external contract manufactures to supplement internal capabilities
- Coordinate and lead design engineering and maximize R&D efficiencies
- Provide technical support, risk assessment, and advice to operations
- Travel to industry events and work with universities to identify new technologies
Salary Range: $128,000/year - $133,000/year plus 15% yearly bonus

Job Requirements
As a Senior Food Engineer job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, or other relevant science
- 6+ years of experience – food is ideal, may consider pharmaceuticals, chemicals, bio
- Scaling up of new product and product improvements experience
- Experience with design of experiment, trials, and data analysis
- Ability to travel up to 20%
