Senior Seasonings Flavor Application Scientist
As a Senior Seasoning Flavorist / Senior Food Scientist, you will be responsible for:
- Executing snack food customer briefs and commercial technology validation / implementation for the region
- Building cooperative relationships with other regional category technical counterparts essential for leveraging technical resources in support of global briefs and technology implementation
- Developing consumer preferred flavor systems for key regional and global opportunities within project teams in focus categories
- Providing leadership to advance strategic category and platform initiatives
- Providing cross-functional Project Management when designated as project leader
- Independently developing seasoning blends/flavor solutions that are market preferred through bench top product development, leveraging culinary input, technical innovation, and consumer insights
- Delivering flavor solutions in a cost-effective manner while driving technical insulation to provide competitive advantage
- Providing insight and technical input for strategies to grow our business
- Providing seasonings product development support to our customers to include building and sustaining relationships across multiple levels and functions within customer’s organizations
- Regularly visiting technical groups to discuss new opportunities and technical needs
- Demonstrating leadership by successfully working with Regional and Global contacts within assigned teams to ensure highest win rate possible by developing seasonings to requirements (regulatory and client restrictions) and building customer relationships. Anticipating, investigating, and resolving issues related to raw materials, flavor systems, finished prototypes, and initial scale up procedures
- Participating directly and providing cross-functional leadership in strategic category and platform initiatives to build directed seasoning capabilities
- Participating in development programs for both trainee and junior Seasoning Flavorists

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, etc. MS degree preferred
- 10 years’ (7+) experience in food manufacturing, ingredient or flavor industry 2 to 3 years
- Exposure to interdepartmental cross-functional team roles (leader, participant, manager, etc.)
- Candidate must have experience successfully developing and applying seasonings to food products; supporting and leading reactive customer briefs, executing proactive category initiatives, and evaluating new technologies. This position involves strong interaction with customers, other technical personnel, sales, operations, regulatory affairs, and global purchasing
