Position Summary:

Given the tremendous potential of this company, we are seeking a world-class Senior Regional Technical Manager, who will provide support to the international technical team and Senior Director of Global Technical Development and Innovation.  The Senior Regional Technical Manager will report to the Global Sr. Director Technical Development.  This leader will focus on technically assisting top food and beverage accounts in the North America Region by working with company partners and distributors, participating in technical events, and coordinate application development efforts in food and beverage products.  This role will be a key driver in rapidly expanding company’s technical knowhow and solidifying the company’s first-to-market advantage and superior all-natural products.

The individual must bring a deep understanding of food & beverage businesses, have a self-starter mentality, and be capable of implementing big company disciplines into a rapid-growth business.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for helping drive the company’s growth by leading regional capabilities, research and technical development activities for the regional and global team, including:
  • Insure proper food and beverage technical information is developed to support technical sales of flavor portfolio.
  • Develop global technical support capabilities that capture global development insights and rapidly share and localize learnings across global markets
  • Provide technical guidance to customers and team members on optimal approaches to their development opportunities. Build insights based on development learnings that can be used to accelerate customer development timelines.
  • Help foster an overall environment of teamwork and participation
  • Manage global application technical operating costs within budget
  • Establish communication schedule to update key stakeholders on project closures and technical involvements

  • Advanced degree preferred with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience is required OR a BS with 10-15 years’ experience
  • Experience in the food & beverages’ industry, either in a food ingredients company with flavors or F&B companies’ R&D department
  • Experience in project management / coordination
  • Experience working with larger corporate settings, proven track record of sound fundamental business practices
  • Success in a smaller, more entrepreneurial environment where opportunities must be identified and seized in order to succeed
  • Experience with food ingredients preferred and proven ability to foster and build strategic vendor partnerships and customer relationships
  • Experience in a multi-national/global environment preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience supervising others
  • Ability to travel up to 30% mostly domestic
