A detail-oriented Sensory Scientist is needed to support sensory and consumer research within an on-site sensory center. This role involves leading research studies, managing daily panel operations, and ensuring that products meet high standards for both customers and consumers.
Responsibilities
· Manage day-to-day sensory panel operations and scheduling, ensuring food safety and compliance
· Design and execute sensory and consumer panel studies
· Oversee descriptive analysis programs, including recruiting and training panelists
· Analyze sensory data and clearly communicate results to internal and external stakeholders
· Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, USDA, etc.)
· Train and guide part-time team members on SOPs and sensory testing protocols

Job Requirements
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field (Master’s preferred)
· 3–5 years of sensory or consumer research experience, including panel leadership
· Strong statistical analysis skills for sensory methodologies
· ServeSafe Manager Certification preferred
· Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to taste and smell a variety of foods; must be free of strong odors/aromas
