Job Description

Are you ready to be recognized for your leadership and analytical Contributions?  This is a highly Visible role in a large ANALYTICAL Team that supports Global R&D, Process Technology teams in Manufacturing, and Customers, and Regulatory Teams.

Responsibilities:
• Manage analytical workloads and resources including 6 Chemists and equipment.
• Develop, motivate, and mentor analytical chemistry team members.
• Lead analytical projects including designing experiments and data interpretation to support R&D and manufacturing processes.
• Assist in resolving technical issues with complex technical projects.
• Manage walk-up analytical instrumentation.
• Maintain excellence in safety, health, and environmental practices.
• Manage multiple complex priorities with demanding time frames.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement both in technology and safety.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • PhD. in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 5-7 years or MS with 10+ years total experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of direct people management experience.
  • Technical acumen in multiple analytical chemistry techniques with significant expertise in method development in Thermal Analysis, and Rheology for higher level analytical instrumentation.
  • Willingness to accommodate periodic travel to the other US and international sites.
  • Experience with a LIMS.
  • Sound analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrated project execution, organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

Desired Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in multi-analytical techniques.
  • DSC, TGA and Rheology method development a plus
  • Experience leading experienced scientists in a research environment.

Practical experience in process technology implementation in manufacturing facilities a plus.
