Due to tremendous growth, my client, a $3B leading engineering and construction contractor is seeking Sr. Procurement Engineers.  

Locations:  Arlington, VA; Purcellville, VA; Richmond, VA; South Hill, VA; Charlotte, NC; York, SC; Fort Worth, TX

This role plays a key role in bridging engineering and procurement functions, ensuring that all sourced materials, components, and systems meet technical specifications, cost targets, and quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical sourcing activities for electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components, systems, and assemblies for assigned projects.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on technical capability, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to ensure supplier compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business
• 3–10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or  engineering within a manufacturing or engineering-focused industry.
• Strong technical background in electrical and/or mechanical systems, ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and value engineering.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, sourcing tools, 
• Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.
