Sr. Chemist
Mid-sized, growing company looking for an experienced formulation chemist to fill their innovations Chemist position. Great opportunity for someone with a background in development of elastomers and/or silicones. Company offers excellent benefits with flexible hours, great opportunities for growth!
Duties:
- Developing new products, innovative technology, and leading technology transfers aligned to meet Marketing and Customer needs
- Working with cross-functional teams and facilitating cross-region collaboration as project leader following a 5 Phase Stage Gate process
- Conducting studies and carry out trials for research, new development, and continuous reliability of the products and formulations
- Physical and chemical testing, facilitating trials including analysis of statistical data, project management, and process safety
- Supporting scale-up of new products and product transfers working with Production, Process Engineering, Regulatory, and Quality teams
- Formulating silicone-based elastomers and adhesives by applying structure-property relationships to control adhesion and reinforcement properties

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Polymer or other Physical discipline, or Chemical Engineer with related chemical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in silicone technologies, specifically with demonstrated understanding of fundamental structure-property relationships of silicone filler interactions, filler treatments and adhesion properties
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software applications
- Basic understanding of Regulatory affairs related to business applications
