Position Summary

A well-established wealth management and financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its team. The firm provides comprehensive financial planning, investment management, and proactive tax planning services to high-net-worth individuals and families. In addition to year-round tax planning, the firm prepares a variety of tax returns and is expanding its tax practice. This is a full-time position with a collaborative, client-focused organization.

Responsibilities

Review and sign complex individual income tax returns, trust returns, and gift tax returns with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Support tax leadership in maintaining exceptional tax service quality and client satisfaction while helping expand the firm's tax capabilities.
Collaborate with financial advisors throughout the year on tax projections, planning strategies, and technical tax research.
Respond to inquiries and notices from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
Maintain a strong client-service orientation and commitment to delivering personalized solutions.
Stay current on tax law developments and communicate relevant planning opportunities to clients and colleagues.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Active CPA license required.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience.
Extensive experience reviewing complex individual income tax returns.
Strong knowledge of taxation related to investment income, including partnership flow-through items, multi-state filings, and tax basis calculations.
Experience with trust, partnership, and gift tax returns preferred.
Strong tax research and analytical skills.
Comfortable leveraging technology and working in a paperless tax environment.
Experience with professional tax preparation and workflow software preferred.
Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments and with clients.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
