Job Description
My client, a nationwide wealth management firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for their office in the Columbia, SC area.
The Tax and Consulting team serves as partners in building lifetime relationships with clients. The Tax Manager assists our wealth strategy specialists (tax, planning, and consulting) and wealth advisors with delivering excellent service to clients. This comprehensive process addresses all areas of a clients wealth management needs.
The Tax Manager is responsible for oversight of tax preparation services and assistance with training, development, coaching and support of the Tax Associates, Tax Interns and Wealth Strategy Team Associates. This position is also responsible for providing guidance to the team to meet the tax preparation needs of internal and external clients. The Tax Manager must embrace and represent the company's philosophies and values. A positive attitude, approachable and mature demeanor, the ability to effectively receive and deliver communication to both internal and external clients is expected. Job Requirements
The Tax Manager position typically requires the following qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university
- Masters in taxation or other advanced degree is a plus
- 5-10 years of experience in the tax department of a CPA firm, or equivalent experience.
- Active CPA license
- Ability to work predominantly in-office
