Technical Sales Rep – CASE industry
Well known mid-sized specialty chemical company looking for a Western Territory Sales Representative with experience in selling chemical additives to the coatings industry. Company offers excellent benefits and has been steadily growing! If you have experience selling polymers, pigments, or other additives for paint manufacturers, this position could be a great fit! Looking for someone to be based near a major airport on the West Coast.
Duties:
- Achieving or exceeding budgeted sales dollar and volume gross profit goals
- Ability to identify potential growth opportunities within existing accounts and territory
- Ability to successfully manage new product developments with technical team
- Extensive knowledge and skill in overall sales process, preparing for customer calls, anticipating customer needs and working through customer issues
- Utilize CRM and MS Access database to manage accounts
- Ability to manage competitive situations effectively
- Must be able to communicate efficiently with customers about pricing, past due accounts and inventory levels
- Work collaboratively with Technical Services, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure the company meets their customer needs

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Chemistry
- Prefer experience in formulating paints & coatings or experience in water-based technology or 5+ years of resin industry experience including a track record of previous sales success in paints, adhesives & coatings industry
- Willingness to travel overnight 60% average per week
