Urethane Sales Manager

Mid-size, growing organization looking for a Sales Manager who has experience selling urethanes and developing new business.  If you enjoy interacting with customers and performing business development, this could be a great opportunity for you!  This company offers great benefits, and competitive wage!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales, market shares, and (or) profitability of urethane products to new and existing accounts
  • Build successful relationships with accounts to develop business
  • Analyze profitability of current and new business situations, recommend, and implement appropriate account strategies
  • Negotiates sales contracts to new and existing accounts to secure sales volumes when appropriate
  • Responsible for industry conference relations and ensuring company is represented in leadership positions
  • Utilize Salesforce to document customer interactions through call reports, build and opportunity pipeline to support 5-year targets, and maintain market share analysis for the market
  • Maintains and builds market information on industry trends with respect to the polyurethane market
  • Performs above-mentioned responsibilities safely, ethically and in compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Maintains a safe work environment

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with business, chemistry, or chemical engineering focus
  • Minimum of 3 years in a customer facing role
  • Someone with a technical understanding of Urethanes
  • Ability to travel 50-55% all over US and Canada
  • Experience with CRM and utilization of CRM to grow sales and profitability
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft systems including Outlook and Excel
  • Must demonstrate competence with various software packages including Microsoft Office and willingness to learn addition company specific software packages
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and work in a team environment
  • Ability to have a positive impact on the business with a strong drive for results
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Basic knowledge in negotiating confidentiality, master services, or developmental / supply agreements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer, company, and products
