Waterborne Chemist
The duties and responsibilities of the Waterborne Chemist will include:
- Formulation of existing and new projects for the Polyaspartic business line. Support new waterborne formulation projects. Work on developing their polyvinyl acetate flake that is used in floor coating packages
- Formulation, product development, product improvement, and production efficiency responsibilities
- Test and evaluate products
- Update and improve existing products, materials and test methods
- Provide technical assistance and support to Production, Sales, and Marketing in support of product scale-up, quality control, application testing, and other cross-functional activities
- Digitally maintain detailed technical records of lab work
- Provide training and supervision of technicians
- Assists the Quality department with the investigation of customer complaints and the subsequent generation of corrective actions

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- BS in Chemistry or related field
- 3-5 years of developing formulations from inception through scale up and commercialization
- Strong understanding of waterborne formulations specific to coatings and sealants
- Technical service experience (phone, trade show, company visits) – travel less than 10%
- Material Approval Processes
- Paint Test & Application Methods
